I've just started going through some of the photos I took when I was back in the UK in September. It's taken me a while!
Here are some swans and ducks taken on the Ely canal.
We checked out a new pizza place from New Zealand on Sunday. I'd never heard of it before, but the décor was pretty cool, and the pizza boxes could be converted to single-slice coffins for any leftovers. The pizzas were based around the 7 deadly sins.
I got a new camera today! It's a
Canon 5D MarkII and so I had to take it for a quick spin this evening!
Just before Christmas my German friends hosted a gluehweinparty, essentially making mulled wine a letting a flaming rum-soaked sugar cane melt into it. mmmmm

Apparently that's what they're calling it; the Eye of the Wind. Sounds a bit rubbish to me. This is the new windmill built on the top of Grouse mountain, and should not only power the entire resort, but feed into the national grid. Plus they'll probably make a killing for charging ludicrous amounts of money to go up the observation deck.
yet somehow, below the snow. It was very weird. Taken at Whistler before Christmas (I stupidly had the date stamp switched on on my phonecam)

The city's gearing up for the Olympics, Canada flags are everywhere, and the fight between companies showing how much more they love the games than their rivals has started. Sigh.
