Most of the plants/birds have been quite confused by the weather, so
they were flowering/not flying south during the snowfall at the weekend.

I've been trying to take good photos of snow. The best I could come up
with is taking a macro shot (focusing on my hand first) with a flash
half obscured by my finger. They still didn't come out that great
though.
It had disappeared by Monday, but was great while it lasted! I wasn't
sure which of these three should be used as the advent calendar photo,
but chose the middle one despite it being a bit more eerie than the
first.

I was showing my friend Julie a few tricks to using her new camera at
the weekend. I was trying to demonstrate how to get an extreme d.o.f.
using the macro, but hadn't realised the flash was on. I think she
burnt out my retinas while taking this shot, but it came out pretty
good!
I hadn't realized my camera was sec to 1/2 second exposure, so moved it
just before the photo had taken. It meant that only the bright lights
blurred, while everything else stayed relatively in focus.
Went to see the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra on Monday. It was really
good as it goes.

I was walking back from the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra on Monday and
the sky was amazing. There was a big gale, so I froze my arse off, but
the clouds were moving so quickly that they blurred on longer exposures.
