The final leg of the torch involved crossing False Creek on an Inuit canoe, and the flame passed on the water to a dragonboat.

The Olympic relay gets passed to someone who rides the tram down to Granville Island. Actually, they've used a lot of random transportation for the flame, including surfing with it, riding in canoes and dragon boats.

As they lit the Olympic cauldron a floating barge fired off loads of fireworks around False Creek. I think they're firing them off every evening.
These were taken on Thursday, when the torch made it to the Yaletown stage for the end of the penultimate leg.
The Olympic torch came right outside my work on Thursday. It was pretty cool actually, even though it wasn't anyone famous carrying it (like Arnie, who carried it this morning)!

I just got back from watching some of the torch relays. I'll try and post some of the photos tomorrow but my laptop's not handling he large file sizes of my new camera very well :/
A lot of installations and art have been set up in the city. These were taken on a wander last weekend.
