Always on the look out for design/film/animation/photo taking inspiration - Oh, and travel ideas, (although anything in Japan will always win hands down for me). Currently based in the North East of Scotland.

So we took the very digital-studio based design students blinking in to the fresh air and off to
Peacock Visual Arts for a spot of printmaking - much fun ensued, and their first ever session went well!
Screenprinting, Japanese lessons, dusting off the Holga and setting up my new work laptop that's where! - oh and the dreaded lesson observation at work in-between all that. Phew. It's Friday.
Allegedly Europe's biggest roundabout, there was supposed to be traybakes and flasks of tea on it today alongside a
mobile art exhibition, but it failed to materialise; instead three lecturers wandered aimlessly amongst the daffodils on this peaceful green oasis in the city for ten mins.
Pick Me Up graphics art fair was really great. Lots going on, great design and illustration material - and I bought a cool limited print. Happy days!
Finally - time to sit and enjoy the sun after hectic few days.
Taking in visits/talks/tours and exhibitions at Airside, Design Museum, Red Bee Media, BBC, Pick Me Up Graphic Design Art fair, Tate Modern and Tate Britain in 3 days, with 29 graphics students. Phew. Great fun though - and the students got to rake through Airside's T-shirt buckets from their pop-up shop and choose some for free!
Holiday weekend, went out for a meal & drinks, saw Cemetery Junction, decorated our bedroom, went to Japanese Lessons, and then made 'Japanese Pizza' or 'Okonomiyaki'. (Tastier than it looks here!) Wonder what the next seven days hold?........
Hurray, and it's a long one! Local holiday in the Silver City on Monday.
