Design is easy.....?
Always on the look out for design/film/animation/photo taking inspiration - Oh, and travel ideas, (although anything in Japan will always win hands down for me). Currently based in the North East of Scotland.

....then I nipped to sunny Dundee for fast graduation, celebratory pear ciders and a few photos, came home - flowers, chocs and wine delivered from my folks (thank you! x ) and my aubergine plant has started to produce an 'auberge'!..... next week will be more relaxed I think. - oh! and also won more chocs in the college raffle at the cheese and wine evening on Friday.
Staff all went to Provost Skene's to get out of the office , then I went to Gray's School of Art degree show with Emma and had strawberry tarts and fizzy wine on the grass, and played 'Art School Cliche Bingo' (all in good fun of course - my own show a few years back was certainly not without a few cliches) ....
Edit: Was also good to see that as per my last post
here the remains of my interactive installation, and the graffiti done for it is still going strong three years on!
Got my new art work from a talented gentleman called Stuart Simpson, whose work can be found at
Fledgeling. Really really chuffed with it - love the colour and texture - trying to think of a name for the bear. Suggestions? ;)
Also got my limited print, bought a few months back at Pick Me Up graphics fest, framed the other day too - liked the use of type in this one.
Two more lovely pieces to add to a slowly-growing collection.
Went for a wander at lunchtime with a colleague, and nipped into Union
Terrace Gardens. Have to admit I don't use it as much as I should. Although it plays a part in my life daily, i.e - passing it every day on the bus, walking through it as a shortcut etc. But today I made an effort to actually visit it. It's a lovely garden, and full of memories for me - it's where my first graduation photos were taken, where I rolled down one of the hills when tipsy after finding out I'd got my first graphics job, had conversations, tears and debates with friends, flatmates and old boyfriends, along with boozy picnics and general sunbathing. It's where I made the decision to quit one of my jobs, and where I went to sketch when at college. Unfortunately some oil businessman with an uncreative outlook and huge ego wants to concrete it all over and add a shopping mall when we can't even fill our 5/6 other centres - So I am determined to enjoy it while I can, make new memories - and, of course, reminisce. :)
Manic last few weeks, but all worth it. Really great year with our HND's this year. Rounded off with amusing night out, and sore heads the next day. (Mostly staff!) :)
Ah well, preparation begins again now for our fresh batch of 2nd yrs after the Summer!
student work, top to bottom:Lewis Cumming, Sarah Steel, Ashleigh Walker, Stephen Watt, Alistair Cairney & Brogan Taylor, Cameron Fraser, Paddy McAllister
I love Aberdeen Uni's campus, and in particular King's college and chapel. Lovely evening on Tuesday practising Japanese grammar in the sun, waiting for our evening class to start.
