Japan - Week 1 part 1

So, finally managing to upload photos properly. First few days of Japan. Shinjuku, day and night. At this time of year it doesn't drop below 32c - even at night. Lovely. :)

Mitaka

Went to Mitaka and visited Ghibli again a few days ago. Beautiful weather. Nikko yesterday, thought it was going to be cooler , two hour train journey out of Tokyo and I'm sure it was hotter. Hopefully the icebar will help tomorrow night.

Shinjuku

(viewed 630 times)
Lazy day. Made up a picnic from Takashimaya food hall. Tempura and cake in the sun at Shinjuku park. Then a few evening beers on one of the many rooftop beer gardens. Good times! :)

...or four. (I know, I know, poor pun) but that's how old my moblog is today. Hurray. And almost to the day we will be doing exactly what we were doing on my very first post four years ago. See you soon Tokyo!

End of term night out, (badly captured with my phone's rubbish camera). One of the Art lecturers was retiring, so bit of a big night - will miss her - and her amusing anecdotes. :)

Good ol' Jon Burgerman. Now I also have a colouring-in and doodling book to keep me occupied on our long haul flight! - and a nice pickle pig badge which came free with it. Sorted.
