Design is easy.....?

Always on the look out for design/film/animation/photo taking inspiration - Oh, and travel ideas, (although anything in Japan will always win hands down for me). Currently based in the North East of Scotland.

Screenprinting again.

(viewed 821 times)
Students have so much fun at the art centre, and the staff. More screenprinting this week. Hoping to do some Christmas card stuff myself soon. More here

Last week

Visited an old (but still running) paper mill with the students, a colleague left after 30 years of working at the college - and we carved our pumpkin!

Autumn...or Winter(?) Clearout

So we got Snow last week (initially light, then heavier, then disappeared in the rain), so my Christmas cactus gift from my folks seems apt. We also did a heyyuuuge clearout of our garage. Gutters and power-washing of paths next week.....

Last few weeks

Busy few weeks, nipped to London to see some of the Design Festival stuff. Unfortunately I was completely under the weather, but we managed to take some of it in - then I met my uni students for the first time this week, and their first 'icebreaker' was to make a huge 'creature' out of newspaper. They excelled themselves and we were very impressed. Fighting fit now and ready to head into a new term. :)

Tidy up

Clearing out the design studios for the new first years next week. I like these huge letters though.

Had ace fun with our HNC's today modelling weird creatures based on made up words that they had to choose from a hat at random. They then went on to attempt to model their creatures in 3d software.
