Design is easy.....?
Always on the look out for design/film/animation/photo taking inspiration - Oh, and travel ideas, (although anything in Japan will always win hands down for me). Currently based in the North East of Scotland.

Had a lovely pre-Easter break with the Mister, in London & Paris. Visited the 'Pick-Me-Up' festival at Somerset House, walked along the Seine, met up with our friend Jim in Shoreditch, saw The Ladykillers and had a very pleasant time in general. Sunny too, so we missed the snow back home! ;)
Had a lovely sunny Sunday at my friend's house; hens, shotgun practise (tin cans), visiting one-day-old lamb (nothing to do with the shotgun I hasten to add!), lovely fresh eggs for lunch and a very tasty Orkney porter.
Took 61 students to NY last week. Oh my! Great fun - saw lots, spent most of our time on the lower east side and in Brooklyn. Went to MOMA, Guggenheim, Society of Illustrators, Cooper Union, walked along the High Line, had many a craft beer, Brooklyn Flea Market, Lubalin Centre, Bowery, NoHo, SoHo, Tribeca and Williamsburg. Took part in an art installation, spoke to some of the locals, walked around central park, visited the sketchbook project, saw possibly the world's largest cat on Bleecker St in a record store. Shattered.
More of the same - including me and our friend Mikan, Ginza, Shimbashi, Roppongi and Asakusa, and the caves on Enoshima Island.
This is becoming a regular occurrence. Holidays in Japan. 5th time! Including Ghibli museum, Enoshima Island, Shinigawa, Ginza, Roppongi.
Went to Arts Centre (Peacock)with the students yesterday. Lovely B&W; exhibition in the main reception with work from Shepard Fairey, Mike Giant, Ralph Steadman etc. Over in the other space was a great architectural/graphic display by Toby Paterson.
Today, went for a walk up Brimmond Hill. Lovely breezy, autumnal sunny day. Good start to the October break.
Got a copy of the 'Versus' illustration poster in the post today, with my work being used as part of the promo material for the exhibition in Bristol. More can be seen about it
here.
Today we ventured to the beach. Had a very tasty breakfast at 'The Inversnecky', then walked along the beach to Footdee (pronounced 'Fittie') and visited some of the North East Open Studios.
'Oil and Glass' - the work of Shelagh Swanson was great. She had a cosy little studio in her fisherman's style cottage. I ended up buying a ring, but could have bought so much more stuff! Fell in love with Footdee again - I want a house there! Such a lovely little community. :) Then went to our favourite Japanese fusion restaurant for Beef, noodles and Japanese cocktails. Lovely lazy Sunday.
