This week's feelgood factor was 4 quid from a charity shop.

Moblog playing cards

Just incase they ever exist I'd like to put in my bid for a picture card. A certain friend of mine once dreamed I was the Queen of Spades. Is that unlucky?

Why indeed?

The bombed out church interior complete with hammer horror organ. They're also playing original soundtracks there but this was the one that got my attention.

Bombed out

Wow. Liverpool's bombed out church, which i've only ever glimpsed inside before is open at lunchtimes for a blitz exhibition.

Edit: The bombed out church is something of an icon. It recently hosted an installation of overturned boats as part of Liverpool biennial blogged here. But you could only see inside the church by looking through a window from a specially constructed raised platform.

Now Urban Strawberry Lunch - a group of artists - have persuaded the council to let them use it as a venue for an exhibition, poetry readings and other stuff for just a couple of hours a day.

I'm having a real TELL EVERYONE moment about this, because I'm not sure how long they'll be allowed to keep it open. So, consider yourself told.

Come in number 1609

I ran a half marathon for the first time today. Probably a bit slower than I'm capable of at 2.17 but still a first for me. The little people in costume were there for the 3k fun run I think. Pictures by V as I was way too nervous to wield a camera.

My folks came to cheer me on in my first half marathon. This is the number one cheerleader.
