These dead petals, Honey, brought me here.

July 31, 2004 was a Saturday. The night before I had met this Boy and we had left Manhattan, drove to Jersey, and spent hours on the Englewood Cliffs that overlook the Hudson River. At around 2 or 3 am, I told this Boy that he was "the most real person I had met since moving to NYC" a mere two months earlier. Then I mustered up all my courage and kissed him. We watched the sun rise over Manhattan from our perch on the cliffs. It was a Blue Moon.
June 30, 2007 was a Saturday. I spent the previous night in a hotel room with my mother and sisters. One sister nursed a dislocated shoulder acquired from riding a Rubbermaid down the stairs. Luckily The Boy insisted she wear a helmet. In the morning I met The Boy in a hotel lobby - he in a suit, me in a wedding gown. It was a Blue Moon.
Tonight we celebrate our 5th Kissiversary and discuss the next Blue Moon. It's a Thursday, but it's also New Year's - December 31st, 2009. It looks like we will be spending it on a dinner train in Yosemite National Park.
