Daytime Toon

(March) Went round the Baltic and had a look inside the Sage. Baltic has a lot of space, filled sparsely with mostly crap art, save for one outstanding photographic exhibition, unfortunately can't remember who it was now. The Sage is impressive - I missed Nick Cave there recently. I sin.

Doon Toon

(March) Worth some brief comments, a fab weekend doon the Toon with Pats and Paul.

1) Shaz. Our new friend in Toon, down the local. The guy far right was her ex. She claimed he was stalking her. He kept buying her drinks, and she kept drinking them. Is that stalking? We don't mind admitting, Shaz scared us. She'd light 3 cigs at a time for her and her mates.

2) Then the saxophonist jumped onto a table for his solo. Rock'n'roll rebellion. With a moustache.

3) Next day in the Toon's smallest but possibly best pub.

4) That evening, Patty was so impressed she now uses Shaz's multi-lighting technique ...

5) ... and Paul's brother (a doorman in the nightclub) chats up the bride to be ...

6) ... and some people wait for taxis while they could be doonin the ale. Serves em right.

(February) Another trusty faithful old mobeeel goes the way of so many before. I was a bit ashamed it had to be ignominiously lifted passed its succesor. It didnt deserve that. RIP

Early learning centre

(January) Now i could've been accused of paedophilic activities, so I had to sneakily shoot from the hip, hence a bit blurry.

I was at the bank, queuing, and you know they have these wooden play-activity-centre things to keep the young kids quiet(er) while you're waiting. I'd seen this girl, sat down, as I walked in. Then, while I stood, I kept hearing *beep beep* *beep* *beep beep*, looked around, nobody doing anything but looking miserable ... and then I realised it was this little girl ... I mean how old is she? 5? 6 at the most. Not interested in the slightest by coloured wooden beads on wires (like I would be), she's checked her frickin messages and now moving on to edit her contacts list!!

Move over grandad your time is nigh.

(January) Rixy watches intently as the mighty Spurs team I built whoop ass 1-0 against vastly inferior European opposition ... that's in Football Manager 2005, of course ... it would never happen in real life.

Its a boy thing, obviously.
